Safety & Consent

THE RULES ARE SERIOUS

So the party doesn’t have to be. Freedom only works when everybody in the room trusts each other, and that trust is the one thing we protect above everything else.

Consent is explicit and ongoing

Ask, out loud, before you touch anybody. Yes to one thing is not yes to the next thing, and yes an hour ago is not yes now. Keep checking in as the night moves. Silence, a smile, an outfit, a wristband or being in a certain room is never consent.

You can change your mind

Any time, at any point, for any reason or no reason at all. Stopping something you agreed to earlier is completely normal here and nobody gets to negotiate you out of it, sulk about it or bring it up again later.

Intoxication and the ability to consent

Drink, have fun, know your limits. Somebody who is slurring, stumbling, half-asleep or clearly gone cannot consent — full stop. If you're unsure whether someone is okay, the answer is no. Guests who can't hold their own are looked after and, if needed, walked out.

Boundaries are personal

Everybody arrives with different limits: couples with agreements, people who only watch, people who only dance, people who want nothing but a great night out. Their limits do not need to make sense to you, and they don't need to be justified.

Nobody is owed anybody

Buying a ticket, hosting a table, being approved, being generous or being interested earns you exactly zero access to another member. Rejection isn't rude. Pressure, guilt-tripping, following someone around or asking again after a no ends your night.

Phones, photography and privacy

No photos, no video, no screenshots of other guests — anywhere, at any HouseMatez event. Don't out anyone, don't repeat names, and don't discuss who you saw. Our team shoots approved content only, with consent, and never in play areas. Partner venues have their own camera policies; ours still applies to our group.

Finding staff or security

At HouseMatez Originals, our hosts wear HouseMatez identification and security is posted at entry and inside. At partner venues, look for a HouseMatez host first, then venue staff or venue security. Ask any bartender or door staff to point you to them — you never have to explain why first.

Reporting concerning behaviour

If something feels off — for you or for someone else — tell a host, staff member or security in the moment. If you'd rather not say it out loud, message the team from your member account after the event. Reports are handled privately and you'll never be identified to the person you reported.

Removal and loss of membership

Ignoring a no, touching without asking, filming, harassing, pushing past a boundary or being a danger to yourself or others gets you removed from the event without a refund. Serious or repeated behaviour ends your membership permanently, and we share nothing about you publicly when it happens.

HouseMatez Originals

OUR HOUSE, OUR RULES

  • HouseMatez staff and HouseMatez security are on site all night.
  • Everyone in the room is a vetted member or an approved guest.
  • Wristbands, house rules and the no-camera policy are enforced by us.
  • Some rooms are clothing optional or adult-play labelled. Those labels are announced up front and nothing in them is expected of you.
  • Removal decisions are ours, and we make them quickly.

Third-party ACCESS experiences

SOMEBODY ELSE’S HOUSE

  • Nightclubs, dayclubs and venues run their own security, entry policy and dress code.
  • The wider crowd is the venue’s crowd, not a vetted HouseMatez guest list.
  • There is no adult play at these events, ever. It’s a great night out together.
  • Venue staff decisions on entry, conduct and ejection are final.
  • HouseMatez conduct standards still apply to our group, and our hosts are there with you.

IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG

Find a host, staff member or security in the moment, or message the team privately from your member account afterwards at safety@house-matez.com. You don’t need proof, a perfect story or certainty. Tell us what happened and we’ll take it from there. In an emergency, call 911 first.

This page is behavioural guidance for how we expect people to treat each other at HouseMatez events. It is not a contract, a waiver, or legal advice, and reading it does not constitute consent to anything.
